Poem: Tender heart

He looked all mean and tough
With all that massive beard on his face
And all the piercings, tattoos
With all that rebel look and all,
But on the inside, he was a kind man.
He had a tender heart like a bluebird
And when he smiled,
The world stopped, and the sun came out.
You would be wrong
If you’d judged the book by its cover.
